Robino Around The World in A’dam

Update: got back in Amsterdam and started his infamous “and now for something completely different”.

Robino Around the World is a travel-website about Robin(o) who is currently based in Istanbul. Original from a town in Holland close to Amsterdam, he spent the last three years in the Catalan city Barcelona in Spain. January 2007 he left that city to make a travel to Istanbul, starting from his home-town.

He travels by sticking up his thumb on the highway and asks random people at the highway rest-areas for a ride. He sees hitchhiking as a sport, as it is a great way to meet people, to exchange favors and to allow a good dose of randomness in life. He avoids ho(s)tels every day of his trip, and uses hospitality exchange network as the principal means of staying somewhere, such as BeWelcome.
