Robino Robokow is a nickname used by Robin who was born in April 1978 in a Dutch town with 25 churches and 1 bar. At the age of 20 he moved out to begin his journey that made him live in places such as Amsterdam, Durham (England), Barcelona, Berlin and Istanbul. He travels a lot, mostly by thumb.

Robino believes in sharing and in community. He set up his house casarobino as a place where long-term travelers or nomads can find a (returning) home. This has enabled many things for a many great people.

Other things he likes doing involve writing (he worked as a financial journalist) and photography. Next to corporate experience in the field of marketing and sales in the B2B it-sector, he has been involved with communications and press-strategy for grassroots political organisations and networks around issues such as climate change, ecology, economic globalisation and openpublishing.

Robin has a Masters Degree in Political Science (2004). His thesis is on the political battlefield around economic globalisation.

He volunteers and works as a web-developer (based on Mediawiki, Drupal, Zenphoto and WordPress), as a project-developer, communications-specialist, journalist and community-builder.
